How to get the Garota Nacional tone (Skank) on a BOSS GT-1

A dry, compressed clean for short, danceable rhythm guitar.

Compressor › Clean Twin

The chain on the GT-1

01 · FXCompressor
Clearly there.
02 · PreampClean Twin
Clean, present treble.

A starting point with no numbers: the GT-1 blocks and types, and which way to turn. Adjust by ear.

To sound like the record

·
Mute with the fretting hand to keep the strokes short.
·
No reverb; the swing lives between the strokes.

Or ask for it ready on the pedal
